Why Vote For
Gordon Weathers
Stone County Presiding Commissioner
I believe Stone County deserves leadership that is willing to do more than just continue doing things the way they have always been done. We can move forward, grow, and prepare for the future without losing the values, culture, and way of life that make Stone County special.
I believe in transparency and accountability. I believe this office should serve the citizens of Stone County, not a personal agenda. That is why I make my phone number public and have dozens of conversations with residents every week. I want to hear directly from the people I represent, and I believe their concerns, ideas, and input should help guide the decisions I make.
I did not seek the appointment as Presiding Commissioner because I wanted to be a full-time politician or build a political career. I stepped into this role to serve. My goal is to help give county government back to the citizens, amplify their voices, and make sure the future of Stone County is shaped by the people who call it home.
I believe we can protect what makes this county strong while also leading it forward with honesty, common sense, and respect for the people we serve.
